A new group of artists from the three EU partner cities has been selected to take part in the final exchange period of the Creating Spaces -project. Hans Andersson (Stockholm), Jonna Pohjalainen (Helsinki) and Jaanus Samma (Tallinn) will live and work in Beijing for a period of three months from the beginning of October until end of the year 2009. During these months the EU artists will cooperate with three local Beijing artists in creating works of environmental art. The new Chinese project artists are Guan YunjiaPan Yiqun and Minto Fang.

Creative results of the project's second exchange period are exhibited in Rotermann Quarter in Tallinn 22nd - 30th May 2009.

Project artists exhibiting their works in Tallinn:

The second phase of the Creating Spaces project will begin in March 2009 as the Beijing artists arrive in EU partner cities.

March 2009 - April 2009:
Cui Xiaosheng will be living and working in Stockholm, Sweden.
Pan Fei will be living and working in Tallinn, Estonia.
Wei Erqiang will be living and working in Helsinki, Finland.
During their stay each visiting artist will collaborate on a work of environmental art with a local colleague.

May 2009:
The visiting Beijing artists and their European work partners will gather in Tallinn where they will jointly create a work of environmental art.
